One of the UK’s largest equine welfare charities, Bransby Horses is a great day out for the whole family, with award-winning facilities, we are located just eight miles from Lincoln.
With more than 400 horses, donkeys and mules to meet and a full calendar of events throughout the year, including adoption days, pony grooming and children’s craft days, there is something for everyone.
The beautiful 600 acre site has endless walkways for visitors to explore and a café, gift shop, play park and picnic area. The Horse Sense Room provides a fun educational experience and guided tours take place regularly.
The charity relies completely on public funding to support the rescue and welfare work which aids hundreds of horses every year – donations are gratefully received.

Our Visitor Centre officially opened to visitors in March 2013. Since then we have welcomed thousands of people through the doors to explore our 600 acre site and learn about our rescue and welfare work.
Whether you are calling in to try some homemade cake in our Feedroom Café, looking for a special gift in our Gift Shop, hiring a room for a private function or spending the whole day meeting our rescued animals, Bransby Horses has excellent facilities for everyone to enjoy.
Our main walkways are wheelchair friendly and we welcome dogs on leads. We regularly host visiting groups, birthday parties and many different children’s activities in the holidays. You can find out more about upcoming events by visiting the Events Calendar.
Admission is completely free, however, we gratefully receive donations when you visit, no matter how small, to enable us to keep our centre open and well maintained.
When you visit, highlights of your day may include meeting our rescued equines, seeing our Rehoming Team at work training our horses in the Rehoming Barn, and perhaps even picking up a bargain in our Donated Goods and Tack Shop.
Our Feedroom Café (open 10am-3.30pm) is located in the main Visitor Centre building at our Lincolnshire site.
Our homemade soups, pastries, cakes and special dishes are all prepared daily by our chefs and ingredients are locally sourced where possible.
The Feedroom Café also offers a fantastic menu for on-site hospitality if you chose to hold your business meeting or private function at Bransby Horses.
Our Gift Shop offers a fantastic, varied shopping experience with a large selection of special gifts, cards, adoptions and so much more.
