Say hello to Snowflake!

Snowflake is a 5 year old, 12hh, grey, mare mule.

Snowflake is looking for a perfect partner who has a love for and experience with mules, and who can offer her plenty of interaction and attention as she loves her humans. She benefits from being in a consistent routine with plenty of time and understanding to settle in.

Snowflake is a beautiful girl inside and out. She always lets you know how she feels and can be opinionated in some matters (as you would expect with a mule!) She loves having fuss, scratches and attention from her handlers as well as going on in-hand walks to explore and say hello to the other horses, ponies and donkeys she passes. While being clipped, she has been known to rest her head on the shoulder of the person clipping her and have a snooze. Despite having beautiful ears, Snowflake would prefer not to have these touched – a girl has to have some boundaries after all!

Snowflake lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter. She is currently living on one of our track systems to appropriately manage her weight.

Snowflake has previously lived with a Mule gelding, but is currently living in a herd of pony mares.

Snowflake is supplemented with a hay/straw mix when grazing becomes too sparse. She is not on any hard feed.

Farrier:Barefoot and trimmed 6-8 weekly. Snowflake has a pain memory associated with an abscess she had in her foot so will need consistent handling and a confident perfect partner to keep her progressing with her foot handling.

Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.

Vices: Snowflake can be a little headshy/ ear shy.

Vet: On arrival to Bransby Horses, Snowflake had a foot abscess and stress laminitis. This has all been resolved. She can be a little worried about veterinary interventions, becoming strong to handle but with an experienced perfect partner and a patient, understanding vet this is something we feel will improve.

Medication: N/A
