Say hello to Simmy!
Simmy is a 10.3hh, 4 year old, roan cob who is ready to find his home as a non-ridden companion.
Simmy is looking for a perfect partner who he can trust and build a bond with, showing him the love a one to one home can bring. He has grown in confidence extremely quickly since being with us at Bransby Horses and we feel he would really thrive in a home.
He would benefit from a home where he can continue to learn about the world and have his brain engaged by in-hand activities. As Simmy has always had a high worm burden he will need a foster who will make sure to poo pick daily and continue to be on a strict worming program.
Simmy is a friendly gelding who loves attention, though due to his young age Simmy can sometimes forget his boundaries, he does listen when being told to back up and stand but will need consistency in his handling to help him progress.
Stabling/Shelter: Simmy lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter. He will happily stable when needed with friends in sight. Simmy likes being with his friends and prefers having company
Rugs: Not Needed
Companionship: He currently lives in a herd of geldings and would love to live with a playful youngster as he loves spending time with his equine friends.
Forage/Feed: Simmy is not on any hard feed. He is on average grazing while he continues to grow and develop. Due to his breed, he will need his weight carefully managing.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Simmy is barefoot and trimmed 6 – 8 weekly. He is a little worried about the farrier and having his feet handled, but it is achievable. He would benefit from regular handling of his feet, as well as a patient and understanding farrier.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: N/A
Vet: Simmy has previously had a history of redworm, tapeworm and pin worm however this is now under control due to following a strict worming procedure.
He did have a sarcoid removed last year but there are no further concerns about this.
