Say hello to Sidney!
Sidney is a 13.2hh, 15-year-old, liver chestnut Welsh cross gelding, who is ready to find a home as a non-ridden pony.
Sidney is looking for a perfect partner who would enjoy spending time interacting with him, he is generally good to do but is a sensitive soul so requires an experienced handler that will encourage him to come out of his shell and show him the love and attention that he deserves. Sidney would love an equine friend that will keep his playful nature active and happy.
Sidney is a cheeky chap once he gets to know you and always wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing; he can probably (definitely) lend a helping hoof. He loves playing with his horsey friends and being kept mentally stimulated.
Sidney is a really kind boy who loves the attention and will always be first to come over and greet you!
Stabling/Shelter: Sidney currently lives out 24/7 on our track system with access to a shelter. Whilst being at Bransby Horses, he has been stabled, which he is a good boy with, however he doesn’t enjoy being left alone in the stable, he will settle if he can see other equines. He is currently rugged when the weather is cold and wet as he is known for feeling the cold.
Companionship: Sidney currently lives in a herd of geldings of various ages. He is playful within the herd and doesn’t cause any issues, he is a placid boy in the field that gets on well with his friends and doesn’t cause any trouble.
Forage/Feed: Sidney is currently on a small fibre feed due to field conditions and he lives out on a track system. If grazing becomes too sparse, he is supplemented with forage.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Sidney is barefoot and trimmed 6 to 8 weekly. He is a really good boy for the farrier.
Dentist: Sedated as per standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: Becomes unsettled if left alone in stable, likes to have other equines close by.
Vet: Sidney is a good boy for the vet.
Medication: N/A
