Revenant is a 7 year old, 11hh, chestnut, dartmoor gelding who is looking for a home as a project!
Revenant (Or Rev to his close friends) is an exceptionally kind and rewarding boy who has so much to offer; he just lets his worries get the best of him. He lacks trust and confidence so it is important that his perfect partner is happy to put the work in to build a relationship with him. Once the trust is there, he will try his heart out for you. He has so much love to offer and deserves the chance to experience a loving one to one home.
He is looking for a very special home that can offer experience, patience and a consistent routine. He is looking for a home as either a project with a view to continue his education to be a lead rein pony, or a companion with a perfect partner interested in in-hand activities such as trek. He has a busy mind and enjoys being kept mentally stimulated day to day.
Rev has had full tack on and he is established on the lunge. He has also had the bear and legs on, quickly becomes more confident the more he does. Out on the roads he is forward going and enjoys the opportunity to explore. He is is good with most traffic however can be worried by bikes and loud sounding vehicles. Rev has undergone plenty of desensitisation work whilst with us and is keen to put his big brain to whatever opportunities come his way!
Revenant lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter. He will happily stable with others in sight.
Revenant has lived with geldings and has shown stallion behaviours around mares. He is a playful boy with other geldings.
No hard feed is given, and he is on restricted grazing to appropriately manage his weight.
Farrier: Barefoot and trimmed 6-8 weekly. He can be worried about the farrier so will need a patient and understanding farrier.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: Revenant is a sensitive boy who can become worried in new, unfamiliar situations.
Vet: Revenant has no ongoing medical concerns.
