Say hello to Palmer!

Palmer is a 12hh, 9 year old, piebald cob mare, who is ready to find a home as a non-ridden companion.

Palmer is an extremely sweet natured mare, she is good to do in all ways, bathing, leading, and grooming. Palmer would like someone who has time to take her for walks, spend time grooming and offering cuddles.

Palmer loves nothing more than a fuss and cuddle and will seek human interaction out. Palmer will follow the team around; wanting to have all the attention, falling asleep for grooming as she loves being groomed.

Palmer also enjoys in hand walks. Palmer has a very loving nature, and is always seeking affection!

Stabling/Shelter: Palmer has always had friends in sight; does like to stay with her friends in the field. Palmer does stable but due to PSSM, it is not advised in her management to be stables for long periods. Palmer has also been rugged in very poor weather to keep muscles warm.

Companionship: Palmer has lived with mares and geldings and currently sits in the middle to bottom hierarchy of the herd. Palmer does enjoy company of others and is very laid back within the herd.

Forage/Feed: Palmer is currently on restricted grazing and local hay supplemented when grazing becomes sparse.
Palmer also has an all in one supplement for Vitamin E and Selenium for PSSM 1.

Farrier: Palmer currently has a bare foot trim every 6 weeks. Palmer can be nervous for the farrier on her left hind due to her having a scar around her fetlock. Using some pony nuts or a lick as a distraction helps Palmer with this and once she understands what the farrier is asking, she stands patiently for her trim.

Dentist: Sedated as per standard Bransby Horses procedure.

Vet: She is good for vet procedures, Palmer has PSSM 1 and is asthmatic however her last flare up was back in 2022.
