Lollypop is a 12 year old, 9.2hh, dark bay, Shetland, mare who is ready to find her home as a non-ridden companion.
Lollypop is a sweet and genuine mare, she would like time to settle in to her new environment and get to know her new field companions.
Lollypop would benefit from a consistent routine and time to create a bond with her new fosterer.
Lollypop is looking for her new fosterer to be someone with a good understanding of EMS to help manage this and who has the time to take her on in hand walks for enrichment as well as managing her weight due to her EMS.
Lollypop has a gentle natured temperament and is easy to do in all ways, she loves to be around people and she loves getting treats from her handlers!
Lollypop has a lot of love to give and has a loving personality and always smiles at you!
Stabling/Shelter: Lollypop currently lives out 24/7 with access to a field shelter, Lollypop would benefit from living on a track system to help manage her EMS or to be able to have restricted turnout in the summer months to manage this. Lollypop becomes unsettled in the stable and would like a home where she can live out 24/7.
Companionship: Lollypop currently lives in a small herd with two other mares who have the same management needs as she does. Lollypop loves to be with her companions and can get a little excited around food at times. Lollypop always likes to have a friend in the field with her.
Forage/Feed: Lollypop is on 24/7 grazing, she has restricted grazing in the summer months to help manage her EMS.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Lollypop is barefoot and is trimmed every 6weeks, she can be fidgety for the farrier at times and enjoys scratches from her handler to settle her.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure. 9monthly dentals.
Vices: N/A.
Vet: Lollypop is a good girl for the vet, she benefits from positive reinforcement such as scratches or treats, Lollypop has EMS and is prone to laminitis.
