Say hello to Goldie

Goldie is an 8 year old, 13.2hh, palomino, cob mare who is looking for a home as a ridden pony.

*Goldie has a maximum rider weight limit of 11 stone/ 70kg*

Goldie is looking for a perfect partner with experience in bringing on green ponies. Someone who can see beyond her stunning exterior to the beautiful soul within who tries her absolute best in anything asked. With further education she has the potential to undertake a variety of work.

Goldie is a really sweet young lady who is polite an respectful on the ground. Due to being early on in her ridden education, she can lack confidence at times while out hacking so benefits from a handler and rider who can give her the extra confidence she needs. She is good to do in all ways though has been known to pull back while being bathed so benefits from being untied for this at present.

Goldie is established in all aspects of ground work, and has began work under saddle. She can be mounted unaided, has aids for all three paces established and can complete basic school movements. She is still very green so needs further education in all aspects and can lack confidence while out hacking. She has experienced various types of traffic and can be a little unsure of larger vehicles but with some gentle reassurance she moves past them well.

Goldie lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter. She will happily stable with others in sight.

Goldie has only lived with mares since being with us. She can be more dominant, but once places in the hierarchy have been sorted, she is placid within the herd.

No hard feed given and restricted grazing to appropriately manage her weight. If grazing becomes too sparse, she is supplemented with weight out low calorie hay. She is currently on an All in One supplement due to being on sparse grazing.

Farrier: Goldie is cold shod all around. She is good for the farrier.

Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.

Vet: Goldie suffers from the typical cob trait of mallanders and salanders so will need appropriate management of this.
On arrival to Bransby Horses, she was significantly overweight so will need strict diet management in the home to ensure she continues to be happy and healthy.

Medication: N/A
