Dune is a 15 year old, 7.3hh, black, Shetland, mare who is ready to find her home as a non-ridden companion.
Dune is looking for her new fosterer to be able to give her lots of one on one attention and a consistent routine. Dune would like lots of love and attention and to be able to enjoy living with her field companions.
Dune is looking for an experienced fosterer who is able to give her the time and patience she is looking for in a one on one home.
Dune is a strong character who is sure of herself and is looking to be able to have a routine as she benefits from a consistent routine.
Dune has a cheeky personality and once she has created a bond with you she likes to show you what a loving little mare she is.
Stabling/Shelter: Dune doesn’t like to be in a stable for long periods of time, she prefers to be out and would ideally like to live in a home with 24/7 turn out. Dune currently lives out 24/7 in a herd with access to a field shelter.
Companionship: Dune likes to be around her field companions and doesn’t settle on her own. Dune sits more towards the top of the herd dynamics but doesn’t like to be without her field friends in sight.
Forage/Feed: Dune has no hard feed and is on 24/7 restricted grazing and supplemented with a hay/straw mix when grazing becomes too sparse. Dune can get possessive around food sometimes so is looking for a fosterer to be aware of this when feeding.

Farrier: Dune is barefoot and trimmed every 6weeks.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: Dune can become possessive around food.
Vet: Dune is a good girl for the vet.
