Say hello to Busby!

Busby is a 13hh, 15 year old, piebald cob x gelding, who is ready to find a home as a non-ridden companion.

Busby is a loving boy with lots to offer in a one to one home, he is looking for his perfect partner who would like to give him a routine with handling daily including in hand walks and grooming.

Busby is a good boy to groom all over, his only dislike is his mane and would require a patient and understanding fosterer. Busby would like his new fosterer to take their time with his back feet as he is unsure and nervous of these being touched however he is better when in a yard environment when picking out his back feet.

Busby is the most special boy and he can be so loving and will thrive in a one to one home, he will let his personality shine through once he has built a bond and got to know you.

A good daily routine is what Busby prefers and would like in order to settle into his new and loving home.

Stabling/Shelter: Busby lives out within a herd at the moment but is also good to stable with friends next door to him or in clear sight.

Companionship: Busby currently lives within a mixed herd all with similar grazing needs, He does seem to be happier when in a smaller herd however he has previously lived with just one friend. Busby needs to live with a friend as he may stress when left alone, he prefers the reassurance and company of a companion.

Forage/Feed: Busby is on restricted grazing and low calorie hay when needed in order to manage his EMS.

Medication: N/A

Farrier: Busby currently has front shoes on, he is good for the farrier however is nervous of his back feet so will need a quiet and understanding farrier who will take into consideration that keeping his legs low will help him settle.

Dentist: Sedated as per standard Bransby Horses procedure.

Vices: N/A

Vet: Busby is good for the vet including needles, he is best to be trickle fed for this to settle him as he can be nervous of two people at times so a quiet and gentle approach is needed. Busby is currently on medication for his EMS and has had a past history of laminitis, this is manageable through his grazing needs.
