Say hello to Bongo!

Bongo is a 4 year old, 11hh, grey, Welsh gelding who is looking for a home as a project pony.

Bongo is looking for a perfect partner who has experience in bringing on ponies so that he can continue with his education to become a fully fledged lead rein pony. Due to his petite size, we have been unable to have a rider on board whilst with us however he has had the weighted legs and bear on, and has shown real promise to making a wonderful lead rein pony. Bongo is a sweet boy who loves a cuddle and a pamper, though he can be a little worried until he gets to know you. He is very gentle and polite when being lead. Bongo can be a little head-shy so prefers to be caught a certain way but is good to do in all aspects of his care.

Bongo has started his education as a lead rein pony and has taken it all in his stride. He is established with all three paces on the lunge and will long-line confidently alone and in company. He is sensible in traffic but benefits from a little reassurance especially with larger, fast moving traffic. Bongo has had the weighted legs and bear on to simulate a rider however, it is important to recognise that Bongo has not had a real rider on due to his size.
