Say hello to Archimedes!
Archimedes is a 4 year old, 14hh, black, Cob x, gelding who is ready to find his home as a non-ridden companion.
Archimedes is an inquisitive pony and is looking for his perfect partner to be confident and experienced with handling younger horses. Archimedes would benefit from a consistent routine with some in hand walks as he loves to explore new things!
Archimedes is a playful young man and adores interacting with you and getting involved in whatever you may be doing!
He takes everything in his stride, and has a playful and cheeky personality.
Stabling/Shelter: Archimedes lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter. He will happily stable with friends in sight when needed. Archimedes becomes unsettled if left alone in the field so would like to live with a friend at all times.
Companionship: He currently lives in a herd of geldings on a track system and is playful with the other equines. He would benefit from having a playful companion as well as a slightly older more dominant companion to help him mature.
Forage/Feed: Archimedes currently lives out on a track grazing system and is supplemented with a hay/straw mix if grazing becomes too sparse.
He can become dominant around feed buckets but will happily share a pile of forage in the field with his friends.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Barefoot and trimmed 6 weekly, he would benefit from a calm and patient farrier as he has weak stifles so becomes unbalanced at times and prefers to have his feet trimmed with his legs held lower.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: Can be dominant around food.
Vet: He has had instances of locking stifle which would need to be monitored by a vet every 6months/annual reviews. He would benefit from in hand walks or a being on a track system to help with this. He is prone to mallenders.
Medication: N/A
