Description – Aled is a 14hh, 8 year old, black, cob type gelding.

History – Aled was part of a multi-charity rescue of sixty five equines who were found abandoned on the Welsh mountains.

Behaviour & Handling – Aled is a lovely, friendly pony who is a very forwards thinking ride. As Aled is still green he relies on the confidence and reassurance of his rider, he absolutely loves jumping and is always looking for the next fence. Aled is improving all the time and will now happily jump coloured and rustic fences, fillers, water trays and XC jumps in an arena. Aleds flatwork is equally improving all the time too, he is constantly getting stronger in his paces but does still need work as he is still a little unbalanced at times and can try and hurry. Aled hacks out alone and I company and is good with traffic. He does love attention and responds well to praise.

Perfect Match – Aled will make a really fun pony for a confident and competent rider, we believe that he will excel in all pony club and riding club activities with the right rider, ideally he would suit a confident teenager or small adult who doesn’t mind a very forwards going pony. He has a busy mind so would benefit from variety in his work. Aled does still get quite excited when going out to new places and can sometimes be a bit bolshie so needs an understanding and knowledgeable handler to help keep his manners improving.

Stabling/Shelter – Happy to live out all year with shelter. Happy being stabled.

Companionship – Can live with mares or geldings.

Forage/Feed – Not currently on a hard feed. Ad-lib hay through winter.

Rug – Depends on clip in winter.

Ailments – None.

Feet – Shod. Good with the farrier.

Dentist – Good, but doesn’t like being rushed with this.

Vet – Good, again doesn’t like being rushed with this though.

Clip – Good.
