Say hello to Horatio!
Horatio is a 14 year old, 12.2hh, chestnut, Welsh Cob X, gelding who is ready to find his home as a non-ridden companion.
Horatio is looking for a perfect partner who will give him plenty of love, affection and time. Someone with experience in managing equines with a history of laminitis, and who will help this sweet boy settle in his new home. He would enjoy being able to go on some in-hand walks.
Horatio is a sweet and easy going boy, who is easy to do in all ways. He enjoys the company of his equine friends and thrives when he is with his companion.
He adores his grooming sessions with his handlers and is known to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
Stabling/Shelter: Horatio lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter and will happily stable.
Companionship: Horatio can live with mares and geldings. He is passive within the herd and gets on well with all of the other equines. He currently lives with his friend Dylan and becomes unsettled if left on his own so would always need to be in the field with a companion.
Forage/Feed: No hard feed given and restricted grazing to appropriately manage his weight. Horatio has a history of laminitis so will need appropriate management to ensure a reduced risk of reoccurrence.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Barefoot and trimmed 6 weekly. He is good for the farrier.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: N/A.
