Rhett is a 13 year old, 13.1hh, grey, Welsh, gelding who is ready to find his home as a non-ridden companion.
Rhett is all personality and has an active brain. He is very friendly and is always the first to greet you in the field where he will ask for cuddles and attention!
Rhett would love a one to one home where he has the opportunity to go for walks or do some groundwork activities as he enjoys being busy. Most of all he would like a family of his very own to spend time with him and love him.
He is a typical Welsh with a cheeky personality and a heart of gold!
Rhett is a confident boy and is a strong character in the herd but tends to fit in easily by moving from submissive/passive with some equines but then dominant with others.
Stabling/Shelter: Rhett currently lives out 24/7 with a shelter. He can also be stabled alongside a friend.
Companionship: Rhett lives with a herd of geldings and a mule. He has lived with a mare before and settled well.
Forage/Feed: Rhett has a history of laminitis so does not need hard feed or lush grazing. He has had a hay and straw mix over the winter when needed supplementing.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Barefoot and trimmed 6-8 weekly.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure. 3monthly dentals.
Vices: N/A.
Vet: Rhett has had laminitis in the past so he will need managing appropriately to avoid a recurrence.
