Say hello to Dalton!
Dalton is a 12 year old, 14hh, piebald, cob, gelding who is ready to find his home as a non-ridden companion.
Dalton is a sweet natured boy who is looking for an experienced fosterer who will give him time to settle in to his new home and be able to spend time with his new companions.
Dalton would benefit from his new fosterer not expecting too much from him the first couple of weeks to allow him to get to know his new surroundings. He would like a friend with him at all times and would love as much turn out as possible with a home where stabling isn’t part of the routine.
Dalton has so much love to give and has the willing to create a strong bond with you to show you his affectionate side.
Dalton is a loveable boy who gains his confidence through his handler, he likes a consistent routine and once he has built a bond with you he will come when called in the field and loves getting fuss and attention.
He is always willing to try new things and wants to build a relationship with you as he has lots of love to give.
Stabling/Shelter: Dalton currently lives out 24/7 with access to a field shelter. He will stable as long as he has friends next to him and it is in a quiet environment, he becomes very unsettled if left alone in a stable with no equines next to him. He would prefer to live in a home with all year turnout.
Companionship: Dalton loves to be with his friends, he can get nervous when a friend is taken out of the field from him, he settles better if he has a friend in the next door field close by, he is ok to be taken out of the field as he gains confidence from his handler. Dalton sits in the middle of the herd dynamic and enjoys living with his friends.
Forage/Feed: Dalton is on 24/7 grazing and is supplemented with forage when grazing becomes too sparse. He has no hard feed but does have a daily Vitamin E supplement.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Dalton is barefoot and is trimmed every 6-8weeks.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: N/A
