Say hello to Louie!

Louie is a 11.2hh, 4 year old, black cob gelding, who is ready to find a home as a non-ridden companion.

Louie is looking for a perfect partner who has experience with young and sensitive ponies, who can appreciate the limited life experiences he has while also appreciating the 100% effort he puts into everything.

Louie would like a home where he can have consistency and regular attention to keep growing in confidence. When he gains your trust he can be very loving and will want to spend lots of time with you.

His perfect partner would be someone willing to show him all that the world has to offer with a consistent routine.

Stabling/Shelter: Louie lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter. He will stable with others in sight but can be vocal. He loves to play with his friends in the field and they will all nap together.

Companionship: Louie has only lived with other geldings since being at Bransby Horses. He tends to be one of the more dominant boys in the group and will look after his friends. He would benefit from a companion who will play with him but also teach him.

Forage/Feed: No hard feed given. If grazing becomes too sparse he is supplemented with hay or a hay/barley straw mix.

Medication: N/A

Farrier: Barefoot and trimmed 6-8 weekly. He is good for the farrier but due to being young he can sometimes struggle to find his balance resulting in some snatching while he figures out how to balance whilst standing on 3 legs.

Dentist: Sedated as per standard Bransby Horses procedure.

Vices: N/A

Vet: On arrival at Bransby Horses, Louie had a high worm burden and strangles. Both of these have now been resolved.
He has presented with mild sweet-itch which is managed with antihistamines and Switch. Both stifles have been medicated due to locking and he has not presented with this since. He has had one sarcoid removed.

Medication: N/A
