Jim Beam is a rising 3 year old, 12.2hh, piebald, cob gelding who is ready to find a home as an Unbacked Project.
Jim Beam is a very confident and affectionate young man who loves nothing more than getting involved in anything and everything you’re doing, having a good cuddle and a scratch. He is generally easy to do, takes everything in his stride and is usually the first to greet you in the mornings. Due to his young age and limited life experiences, Jim Beam is worried by the farrier so would need regular handling of his feet to keep him improving in this area.
Jim Beam is looking for a perfect partner who has experience with young equines; someone who can implement boundaries and continue with his education so that once he is old enough he could potentially start his education to become a ridden or driven pony.
Lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter. He will happily stable with friends in sight.
Rugs: Not Needed
Lives in a herd of geldings of various ages. He enjoys the company of his friends and at present can not be left without the company of other equines; however this is something that could be worked on in the home. He has lived next to mares with no issues.
No hard feed given and average grazing while he continues to grow and develop. Once matured, he will need appropriate management for his breed to ensure he remains a healthy weight.
Farrier: Jim Beam is barefoot and trimmed 6 – 8 weekly. He is worried by the farrier so would benefit from regular feet handling, along with a patient and understanding farrier who will help with his progress
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
