A Friend for Life fosterer plays a vital role to enable us to carry on with our rescue and welfare work. Not only do they provide knowledgeable and loving homes but they are also ambassadors for Bransby Horses and do a fantastic job of ‘flying the flag’ for us.
We simply can’t thank our Friend for Life fosterers enough for their kindness and ongoing support!
Tanzanite is just one of the many hundreds of success stories we’ve had with our amazing fosterers …
Tanzanite’s arrival at Bransby Horses
Tanzanite arrived at the charity in 2016 along with four other Arab mares. All were emaciated and had heavy worm burdens. They received many months of intensive care to bring them back from the brink.
All five mares spent the next few years learning about life at Bransby Horses. This was an important step in the process of rehabilitation to ensure they were happy and settled in their new environment. Firm favourites due to their big personalities, the team were thrilled when Tanzanite was ready to take the next steps on her journey to find her forever home.
The Bransby Horses rehoming process is about achieving the perfect match for each equine and applicant. Applicants are invited to visit Bransby Horses, so our friendly team can assess their handling skills and riding ability. Every step of this process is about making sure each equine and applicant are perfectly aligned and both are able to have a fulfilled life together as equine and fosterer.
Tanzanite’s fosterer says: “I couldn’t believe my luck when Bransby invited me to try Tanzanite, I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her… The whole process was very straightforward and everyone involved made me feel so welcome. Bransby made me feel that they always had Tanzanite’s best interests at heart. Despite a hard start to her life, she is such a loving and kind girl and that’s down to the love and care she received at Bransby.”
