Halloumi is a 7 year old, 12hh, piebald, cob, gelding who is ready to find his home as a ridden equine.
Halloumi is a cheeky yet friendly boy, he does like to be groomed and pampered and enjoys his work.
Halloumi was professionally backed and has been ridden away. He is is responsive to the leg and is established in basic school movements.
Halloumi can work well in walk and trot. He has been worked over poles which he enjoys and will need more work with his jumping education.
Halloumi is looking for a home with someone who is experienced in managing laminitis and that can follow a training plan to bring him back into work.
Halloumi is a lovely lad who enjoys learning new things and is looking for a fosterer who has had previous experience bringing equines on after a period of rest.
Stabling/Shelter: Halloumi is happy to be stabled as this is part of his general laminitis management. He is happy to be stabled alone. He is on limited grazing at the moment.
Companionship: Halloumi has been fine to be turned out with mares or geldings. He will turn out in a paddock on his own as long as other equines are nearby and in sight.
Forage/Feed: He is on a strict forage diet with soaked hay and a handful of chop.
Medication: N/A
Farrier: Shod in front and trimmed behind, Good for the farrier.
Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure.
Vices: N/A.
Vet: Laminitis, just recovering over a recent bout. This can be discussed in more depth and his management with applications.
