Say hello to Elvis!

Elvis is a 14 year old, 13.1hh, piebald, cob gelding who is ready to find a home as a ridden pony.

*Elvis is not located at our Bransby Horses site and has a maximum rider weight limit of 9 stone / 57kg *

Elvis is looking for a new home with a small adult or competent teen. He is looking for someone to develop and progress with, as well as simply having lots of fun. Elvis’ favourite thing is hacking, he is good in traffic, is safe and sensible when out with a rider alone or in company and would be the type of pony to enjoy a pleasure ride. He moves well in the school, making a nice shape; however, he is sometimes unsure and needs reassurance from his rider. Although he is never nasty with this, he does need a patient and understanding rider from whom he can gain confidence. He has popped a few small jumps in the past and has shown promise and seemed to enjoy this. With some further education, Elvis could become a great all rounder with potential to do some outings such as pleasure rides and showing.

Elvis has shown some attachment issues with mares and therefore must live with, or in sight of geldings. He happily lives out 24/7 but will also stable if other horses are in sight. He does suffer from the typical cob trait of mallanders and sallanders which would need to be managed appropriately to ensure he remains happy and healthy. Elvis is currently fully shod and is well behaved for the farrier.

Overall, he is a very loving boy who adores attention and a pamper from his humans. He has beautiful ground manners and loves being around people. Once a bond is made with this boy, he will give you his all in every aspect. He is the type of pony to gain confidence from his handler/rider, therefore, he may take a week or two to settle into his home, but once a bond is made and trust is established, he will be a pleasure to own.

Elvis currently lives out 24/7 with access to a shelter and other geldings in sight. He can be stabled with friends next door

Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure. Has had dental treatment without sedation in previous foster home
