Pecan came to Bransby Horses in 2016 and is a mini Shetland. He sadly suffers from breathing problems and he is being closely observed by our team of welfare staff and vets. He has additional medication to make sure this is monitored effectively, but this never dampens his spirits. He’s a real charmer! Pecan can be found at the Visitor Centre with the rest of his Shetland herd and since late 2020, with his father, Pistachio – you will not be able to tell them apart!
Did you know? Miniature Shetlands are no taller than 38 inches high; the coat of a Shetland is rough and thick, but the coat of a miniature pony is smooth.
