It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Sponsorship Star Gnasha.
Gnasha’s story at Bransby Horses began in 2015, after she was found wandering along a main road in Nottinghamshire with her daughter Matilda and two other donkeys. Gnasha was also pregnant and a few months after her arrival, she gave birth to future Sponsorship Star Nipper.
Gnasha spent her time at Bransby Horses living on our Visitor Centre Yard with best friend Marlene by her side. She was a key member of the girls’ herd and enjoyed taking part in our Donkey Talks, interacting with many visitors over the years.
Gnasha sadly developed dental and lameness issues that were severely affecting her quality of life, and the heartbreaking decision was made to put her to sleep to prevent any further suffering. She will be greatly missed by both staff members and visitors alike.
We would like to thank everyone for supporting Gnasha during her 11 years with us. Without your kindness and generosity, we wouldn’t be able to provide the level of care she and her friends here at Bransby Horses deserve.
