Wondering What To Read on World Book Day 2024?

7th March 2024

Calling all pony loving children.

Bransby Horses have not one, but two books we hope will become supporter favourites this World Book Day.

Readers are invited to get to know Pudding and our wonderful charity through these educational storybooks which are on sale now here or at our Visitor Centre in the village of Bransby, north of Lincoln.

Pudding’s Christmas Miracle launched in 2020, selling over 2,500 copies; eighteen months on the sequel, Pudding’s Picnic Panic – which is an educational tale teaching readers the importance of not feeding horses you don’t know – hit the shelves.

Both books have been a big hit and it’s hoped our young fans will be reading them again for World Book Day 2024.

Sally Crawford, Executive Director of Engagement and Income Generation, said: “Children and parents have really taken to these books and the character ‘Pudding’. As well as being a lovely story for little ones to get lost in they also carry an important message about equine welfare.

“We hope more children discover a love for Pudding through our books as all profits help us continue with the equine welfare and rescue work we do out in the community.

“Whether you decide to buy the book, sponsor a horse like Pudding or make a donation, you’ll make a positive difference and for that we’re truly grateful.”

Pudding’s Picnic Panic and Pudding’s Christmas Miracle were both written as a collaborative effort by the Bransby Horses team and primary school teacher, Helen Kennedy.

Both books are currently discounted for a limited time and can be purchased from BransbyHorses.co.uk/shop, by calling 01427 788 464 or through our onsite Gift Shop at LN1 2PH.
