Understanding Equine Behaviour

April 10 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

This event is for equine professionals and equine owners.

Join us here at Bransby Horses for a very informative talk and demonstration by Dr Helen Spence, an ABT registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) specialising in equines who is based primarily in Northern Ireland and a Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (www.apbc.org.uk).

Helen has many years of experience, delivering advice on equine behaviour and training. She has worked with many equines and their owners, as well as providing CPD for coaches and behaviourists and as a psychologist is passionate about people understanding learning theory as part of the bigger psychological picture, ensuring that training enhances positive mental wellbeing for the horse.

What you will learn:

  • Knowledge of equine learning theory.
  • How to read equine body language and what they are trying to tell you.
  • Recognise the signs of stress or pain in equines.
  • Understand how to influence change in equine behaviour.

This event will take place at the Clifford Marshall Building.
