Receptionist/Admin Assistant (Voluntary)

This is an exciting, new volunteering opportunity at the charity. You will play an important role within the hub of activities at within our Supporter Services department and business administration.

During campaign times you will maintain high standards of organisation and sort the received lottery tickets within the department and during off-peak times (throughout January and September) you will be our main meet and greet for visitors/staff in our new, purpose built reception.

Our volunteers are our ambassadors.

Job Description

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (4-5 days) 9.30am - 4.30pm (2.30pm off-peak)

Main Purpose of the Job:

Main Duties:

To support with processing our post and lottery during campaign (peak times) and throughout off-peak supporting on our new reception.

Summary of Main Duties

  • Input on to Donor (CRM) non-orders
  • Produce thank you letters
  • Support with lottery processing during peak times
  • Processing post during peak times
  • Meet and greet visitors/guests/attendees to our conference room for meetings
  • Accept and sign for deliveries
  • Archiving

Qualifications and Experience
  • A willingness to commit themselves to working for a leading Equine Welfare Charity
  • A high standard of English
  • Good communicator both verbal and written
  • Computer literate (training given for the role)
